As if you needed another reason to get excited about summer, POV has announced the documentary lineup for their 25th anniversary season on PBS. This year they’ll be showing another excellent selection of films, including a number of Rooftop Alums.
After months of touring festivals and screens around the country, the 2009 Filmmakers Fund Grantee Ian Cheney’s “The City Dark” has returned for its theatrical premiere at the IFC Center on January 18th.

Rooftop has partnered up with The Awesome Fest to bring Philadelphia an entire summer of completely FREE independent cinema. At Piazza at Schmidt’s, filmmakers, talent, and enthusiasts will come together for outdoor screenings of films direct from SXSW, Tribeca, and Sundance. To inspire the growth of Philly’s independent film community, the Awesome Fest now needs your support.
