Mercy has toured the world extensively as "Johnny-kick-ass-guitar-guy-for-hire" for acts such as The Muddy Waters’ Band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Booker T. and has played on multiple Grammy nominated albums. B.B. King himself once pulled him aside to say how much he admired Troy’s guitar playing.
