Outdoor Rental Packages

For audiences between 250 – 800 guests, the 30 Foot Inflatable Show offers an impressive 30 foot screening surface with powerful projection and stereo sound to fill your medium to large sized venues. 4 technicians will deliver, setup and execute your event from start to finish, offering a dynamic experience to you and your guests.
40 Foot Inflatable Screening — $5,400 and up

At 40 feet across, our largest and most impressive screen can handle audiences anywhere from 300 all the way up to 7,000 guests. This package includes 5 dedicated technicians who will deliver, setup, and execute your event from start to finish, and provide comprehensive video and audio quality with crisp projection and superb sound mixing. For large outdoor spaces and large audiences, this is undisputedly the most impressive option for your event.
Drive-In Screening — $2500 – $6000 (screen-size dependent)

- 6,000 to 15,000 lumens projector
- Full “drive-in” sound package: high powered RF radio transmitter and antenna, full sound mixing suite, dedicated Audio Engineer

Starting in the summer of 2020, Rooftop Films has brought a safe alternative to our tried and true model of events: drive-ins! This package differs from the outdoor event packages above in that 5 dedicated technicians will deliver, setup, and execute your drive-in event by focusing on RF transmission of the film’s audio, directly to the car radios of your guests! We can match your audience size and your venue’s space with appropriate equipment to ensure an intimate and immersive experience, safely from the confines of your guests’ vehicles.
Indoor Rental Packages
Small Screen Package – $475 and up
Includes a tripod screen (5-8ft wide), a 3,000-lumen short-throw projector, speakers, a mixer, and a mic, with cables and stands. Great for presentations, artist talks, and work-in-progress screenings, and audience sizes up to 75 people.
Medium Screen Package – $650 and up
Includes an aluminum folding-frame screen (10-12ft wide), a 5,000-10,000 lumen projector, speakers, a mixer, and a mic, with cables and stands. Great for intimate screenings, art installations, galas, or other special events. Ideal for audiences of 75-150.
Large Screen Package – Available on Request
Large venue screen and projector, ideal for premiere screenings and film festivals, audiences of 150-500.

Why rent from Rooftop Films?
All proceeds go to sustain and develop the nonprofit endeavors of Rooftop Films. As an organization we offer a platform and support for new work from independent filmmakers, as well as resources and expertise for community events all over the five boroughs.
Why are Rooftop’s rental rates lower than standard rental houses?
Rooftop has shows all the time, so we need to own the equipment. But when we aren’t using our equipment, we don’t want it all to sit idle in storage, so we rent it at reduced rates to make a little money for our organization and to help artists and communities with their events.
How does it work?
• If you are interested in renting equipment, please fill out our Rental Request Form.
• Payments can be made via credit card or, if necessary, check.
• Rooftop Films offers discounted rates for artists and non-profit arts organizations. Please call if you need to discuss the possibility of additional discounts.
• All prices are subject to change. If you have any questions, please call us and we would be glad to talk about our equipment and policies.
• Equipment can be picked up and dropped off from our offices at 232 3rd Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
• Delivery, pick-up and technical assistance are available in the New York City area for an additional fee. Rates vary. We offer expertise in live audio, video, projection mapping, lighting, print traffic, and both indoor and outdoor event management.
• Payment is due before the equipment leaves our shop.
What is your cancellation policy?
As many of our events are outdoors, weather is always a consideration, and can be unpredictable. Here is our policy if you cancel the event for any reason, including weather:
• If you cancel 48 hours before load-out (usually 9AM on the show day), you can reschedule for an agreed-upon rain date at no additional cost.
• If you inform us of cancellation prior to 9AM the day before load-out of the show, you pay the full price for the canceled event but can reschedule for 33% of the cost.
• If you inform us of cancellation after 9AM the day before but before Rooftop starts to load the equipment into our truck on the morning of the show (again, usually 9AM on show day), then you pay full price for the canceled event but can reschedule a rain for 50% of the cost.
• If you don’t cancel before we’ve started to load the truck on the show day, then you pay the full price for the event, and there is no discount on the rain date.
