Berman's March

Joshua Pikovsky & Jordan Tetewsky | US | 71

Charlie Berman, a hard-working loner, receives a call from his old friends with an invitation to a weekend cabin getaway. Despite housing troubles and an unhappy boss, Charlie decides to break from the tedium of his life to reunite with the friends he has missed all these years. He packs up his beat-up car and hits the road.

As Charlie travels south, he stays at various campgrounds and rest-stops, observing and interacting with the other travelers populating the roadways. When he finally arrives at his friends’ cabin, he finds his once-close friends have changed somewhat in these missing years. As he navigates the unfamiliar and unpleasant new reality of this old friendship, he must decide whether circumstances and values have stretched the bonds between them too far.

Performer

Troy Mercy

Troy Mercy is an American singer, guitarist, harmonica-type-guy, songwriter, plus actor and bluesman. Mercy has toured the world extensively as "Johnny-kick-ass-guitar-guy-for-hire" for acts such as The Muddy Waters’ Band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Booker T. and has played on multiple Grammy nominated albums. B.B. King himself once pulled him aside to say how much he admired Troy’s guitar playing. Following years of being one of the roots music scene’s most inventive guitarists, Troy Mercy now steps out to give his own stripped-down, exciting, and imaginative take on the blues. He pulls off that rarest of triple whammy with his golden-toned guitar playing, preacher-man vocals, and magnetic songwriting.
