Elizabeth Bouvia's landmark 1983 “right-to-die” case is reexamined through a contemporary lens, centering disabled voices in the ongoing dialogue about bodily autonomy and medical ethics. Through intimate conversations with disability rights advocates and legal experts, the documentary explores how assumptions about disability influence public policy and challenge common beliefs about quality of life and self-determination. Recipient of the 2023 Rooftop Films Water Tower Feature Film Grant. Winner of the Sundance Film Festival US Documentary Special Jury Award.
