Khorikos

KHORIKOS is one of New York City's most distinguished vocal ensembles. They commission, curate, and perform unforgettable music from today's most dynamic choral composers alongside invigorating interpretations of rare music from the Medieval and Renaissance eras. Seeking to weave together musical languages and themes that span centuries, they deliver an unprecedented level of artistry and expressive focus.

Since their founding in 2005, KHORIKOS has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Dimenna Center for Classical Music, Merkin Hall, National Sawdust, Lincoln Center, and other prestigious venues. They have also been featured in the Boston Early Music Festival and toured their award-winning concert series in Germany, the Czech Republic, Serbia, and Montenegro.

KHORIKOS is a passion project, with no paid staff; singer-members are united by a drive to share the most extraordinary, heartfelt vocal music from across the centuries, and to make music at the highest standard. By prioritizing intonation, a unified sound, and expressive dynamics, they reveal the communicative power of the human voice and make music that resonates with any audience. Through their emotionally focused interpretations, KHORIKOS aims to bring choral repertoire down to earth and make it accessible to all.
