As a young woman comes into her own in war-torn Ukraine, she finds her path towards independence and a brighter future challenged by an unexpected love.

This is an exclusive work-in-progress advance screening of the upcoming feature film, Julia Blue by writer/director Roxy Toporowych. This screening will give you access to the film before it is completed and an opportunity to take part in the process of constructive feedback after the screening to help guide the filmmaker as she works to complete her first feature film.

Julia, a bright university student, is preparing for a life abroad when she meets English, a damaged soldier fresh from the warfront in eastern Ukraine. An unexpected romance sparks between the two. From metropolitan Kyiv to a remote Carpathian village, they must decide if they are ready to build a future together in a homeland that’s slowly being torn apart.
