Performer

Elsa Steixner

Elsa Steixner is a Vienna-based artist, composer and vocalist whose music bridges jazz, folk, and contemporary songwriting. Praised as an “exceptional talent” by Austrian media, she has gained recognition for her poetic lyrics, expressive voice, and genre-defying sound. “Her distinctive voice clings to your ears the moment you first encounter her songs. She creates an immediate sense of trust — she hypnotizes you in such a way that you can’t help but listen to her stories.” With her band project ELSA, she has toured across Europe, performing at renowned festivals and venues and releasing two critically acclaimed albums. In a stripped-down duo setting Elsa Steixner and bassist Jakob Lang are captivating audiences with sharp storytelling, a warm, melodic fretless bass sound and a voice that is both delicate and daring.
