DCTV Presents YOUR DAY IS MY NIGHT and OTHER VOICES at Northside Festival

As a curatorial partner of this year’s Northside Festival, DCTV presents two not-to-be-missed experimental documentary films that recently had their World Premieres at MoMA Documentary Fortnight 2013.
The beautiful short Other Voices delves into a world filled with the enigmatic life of plants and the people who love them. The provocative hybrid documentary feature Your Day is My Night leads you through conversations, autobiographical monologues, and theatrical movement pieces with immigrant residents of a Chinatown “shift-bed” apartment, addressing issues of privacy, intimacy, and urban life.
Following the films will be a discussion with the Directors, renowned “avant-gardener” Lynne Sachs and up-and-coming director Sarah Enid Hagey.
