Support Rooftop Films Alumni PJ Raval

In the middle of a reception for his compelling feature Trinidad, Rooftop Filmmakers’ Fund grantee PJ Raval discovered his newest subject: LGBT seniors. For the past two years Raval has been working to share the story of a group of people who often go overlooked, and now he needs some support. “Untitled Gay Retirement Documentary” follows the lives of three male LGBT seniors who not only face the natural struggles of growing older, but also must deal with losing and rediscovering their community as they age.

In order to cast a wider lens on the subject the production took him across the country to capture their stories. Now, as he finds himself ready to complete filming, he also finds himself in need of monetary assistance, and that’s where you can help. Raval needs to raise $10,000 by May 28th to finish shooting the project. Supporters will receive exclusive access to behind-the-scenes photos and footage and will essentially be a part in making a well deserving project come to fruition.

Having been named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s ’25 New Faces of Independent Film 2006 and winning the Cleveland International Film Festival Documentary Jury Award with Trinidad, PJ Raval is once again ready to uncover an important story, and you can help make it happen.
