BAMcinemaFest kicks off Tonight!

Our friends at BAM are kicking off their cinemafest tonight! To get the ball rolling they’ll be presenting the New York premiere of the Andrew Haigh’s highly acclaimed film Weekend, a delicate, subtly realized yet powerful story which follows the protagonist Russell over 48hours as he traverses a series of bedrooms and bars, navigating a haze of lust and emotion.

Weekend is the first of many films which BAMcinemaFest will be presenting this summer. The program runs from shorts and features, including 20 New York premieres, to screenings of classic films such as the 1961 film Whistle Down The Wind.

Rooftop Films is working together with BAMcinemaFest this year for the third time to help them bring a part of their program outdoors to the BAM parking lot. This Saturday we are  very excited to be co-presenting Rooftop alum Todd Rohal’s brilliantly  quirky and surreal rendering of the classic road movie, The Catechism Cataclysm together with BAMcinemafest. The screening will also include a Q&A session with the director Todd Rohal after the film.

Buy your tickets now for the screening of The Catechism Cataclysmn this  Saturday,  June 18th, at the outdoor parking lot of BAM Cinematek in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
