Thank you, backers! Rooftop successfully achieved our Kickstarter fundraising goal. Summer has officially been extended! That means more screenings, more venues, more films, more fun. And for all of you who gave, a stack of Rooftop tickets, passes, DVDs, framed film stills, dinner, and more.
We can now officially announce some of the first updates to the extended summer.
+ On Friday, September 3, Rooftop Films will host a free screening of the documentary Gasland in Philadelphia. The screening will be held in the Piazza at Schmidt’s. More info here.
+ On Sunday, September 5, Rooftop will host a Gasland screening outdoors at the Deleware Youth Center in Callicoon, NY. Details.
+ On Saturday, September 11, Rooftop Films will host a screening on the pier at Solar One, an environmental research and education center in Manhattan. Info.
+ More screenings will be added soon in Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.

+ On Wednesday, September 22, Rooftop Films will host our first ever screening on The High Line. Screening in conjunction with IFP‘s Independent Film Week, we’ll be screening the World Premiere of Anna Farrell’s lovely, hard-working documentary Twelve Ways to Sunday.
+ Screenings in Bed-Stuy and the South Bronx to be announced soon.
+ Screenings in the Atlantic Avenue Tunnel on the way.
OUT OF TOWN
+ Rooftop Films will host a very special sneak preview of a film dear to our hearts in a fitting outdoor screening as part of the Camden International Film Festival, September 20-October 3.
+ In March 2011, Rooftop Films will host two screenings on rooftops in Houston, TX, in conjunction with the Aurora Picture Show. Exact dates to be determined.
