Rooftop Films Is Looking for Interns

Are you a young filmmaker or a student studying film, arts administration or nonprofit management? Are you looking for the kind of real world, industry experience that will help you get a job you actually want when you graduate? Would you like to learn first hand how a nonprofit film festival works, and watch hundreds of great movies?

Then Rooftop Films is looking for you.

Rooftop Films is seeking interns for the 2010 fall semester. If you’re interested in working in independent film, the arts, or the nonprofit sector, Rooftop is a great place to start. Applications are due no later than August 30, 2010, though. So if this sounds up your alley, run, don’t walk to your computer and send off a cover letter and resume to intern@rooftopfilms.com.

Internship duties may include:
• Tracking and requesting new independent films
• Contacting and corresponding with filmmakers
• Coordinating off-season film screenings
• Audio and video tech work
• Organizing and maintaining film databases
• Marketing/Outreach/Publicity
• Development

But really, anything else you’re interested in, let us know, and we’ll make sure to get you involved. We want you to see how we work, and we want you to get as much out of your time here as possible.

More information here. And again, to apply, send a resume and cover letter to intern@rooftopfilms.com, no later than August 30th.
