Support Charlene Kaye’s Mad Tom Music Video on Kickstarter

Help indie folk-pop artist Charlene Kaye and a group of New York based filmmakers make an epic music video.

Hello, Rooftop Films Marketing Coordinator Lela Scott MacNeil here. I’m lucky enough to be producing a music video for the great up-and-coming indie folk pop artist Charlene Kaye. Listen to her incredible new EP here.

Myself and a group of talented New York independent filmmakers were  drawn to the raw energy of her single Mad Tom of Bedlam. So much so that we decided that the song needed a music video.

The video will be shot in iconic locations across Brooklyn, as a love letter to New York City; to the spirit and energy of its kaleidoscopic neighborhoods. It will stylish and edgy with a sharply original cinematic aesthetic. Shot on a Canon 5D and in only a few long, sweeping takes, it will bring a dazzling visual life to both the song and to Charlene’s music.

But this is where you come in. We need the help of all of you generous Rooftop blog readers to make our ambitious vision a reality. Watch this live recording of Charlene and her band performing Mad Tom, shot by our DP with her gorgeous Canon 5D, and if you like where we’re going with all of this, we’d greatly appreciate any help you have to give!
