Rooftop Films is more than a film festival: we are a unique community for filmmakers and film fans. For filmmakers, we provide an exciting forum to show their films to enthusiastic crowds. For audience members, we offer fantastic films you won't see anywhere else, in a variety of spectacular settings. As a community, we support each other—ticket prices and submission fees are kept low, we share our equipment at low-cost, we give away small grants to the filmmakers whose work we show, and more.

But doing as much as we do is a major, year-round endeavor (planning for the Summer Series begins nine months in advance!), and ticket sales and submission fees cover only half the expenses it takes to put on so many wonderful screenings. In order to survive, Rooftop Films must rely on grants, sponsorship, fees from equipment rentals and classes, and donations from individuals.

We are eternally thankful when you buy a ticket or send us a film, but if you appreciate our work, if you want to see Rooftop Films continue to do what we do, please make a donation today.
