On May 21, 2010, at the Rooftop romantic short films show Hopelessly Devoted, the opening band was Frances, and after they played, Rooftop Founder and Artistic Director Mark Elijah Rosenberg asked Stephanie Skaff, the singer/keyboard player, to marry him.

Julien Bocabeille, director of “Oktopodi,” an animated short about two octopi in love and on the run, speaks to Rooftop Films about making the film and his love of seafood.

Rooftop Films’ 14th Summer Series runs weekends from May 14-August 20. This year we will be screening 28 feature-length films and over 100 short films.
