Need a break from the post-holiday winter doldrums? (Has it only been a week?) Laugh it off all weekend at reRun at the theatrical premiere of Madeline Olnek’s sci-fi comedy film “Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same.”

From my first day at the office to now, the most important thing I’ve learned about working at Rooftop Films is… it is what you make of it. This small, sometimes high stress environment is also the most intensive creative environment, and one from which I have learned a lot.

We spoke to Madeleine about what lesbian space aliens have to teach us all about our romantic lives, and the value of a funny title. Her debut feature Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same makes it’s New York Premiere TONIGHT at Rooftop.

1. Remake rights to documentaries are selling today. The rights to make a fiction feature based on Bengali Detective (which I saw yesterday and liked) sold to Fox Searchlight and HBO bought the rights to Knuckle and plan to turn it into a TV show. In both cases I think they are [...]
