With Rooftop veteran Casimir Nozkowski at the IFP Project Forum, we thought it would be fun to check out a Cas Classic, the 2002 comedy Store!
Cas is an independent filmmaker and internet stuff-maker. He has been screening films with Rooftop since our inaugural year in 1997, and was one of three Rooftop alums we placed in the IFP Project Forum. He blogged this pitch about his experience.
For a fourth year, Rooftop is pleased to collaborate with IFP on screenings and forum activities during Independent Film Week (Sept. 19-23).
Personally, I’m a pretty big sports fan. I love the grace, the passion, the intensity, the drama. But the business side of sport can be pretty ugly. Rooftop filmmaking alum Casimir Nozkowski and The Internets Celebrities have made a funny documentary about the new New York stadiums.
Here at Rooftop Films, we’re thrilled to collaborate with IFC.com to host short films on their website. We’ve always wanted to put shorts online, and IFC was the perfect platform for the type of creative, unique, daring short films we show, and exposes thousands of new viewers to these distinct movies.

In 11 years, Rooftop has now shown over 1,400 films.
