2012 Summer Series film needs your support to screen at Hot Docs in Toronto.

Help Rooftop alum and Filmmakers’ Fund grantee PJ Raval complete his latest film, “Untitled Gay Retirement Documentary” following the lives of three male LGBT seniors. Raval needs to raise $10,000 by May 28th to finish shooting the project.

We know that there are a ton of film events this season, most notably SXSW fever, which has many of our friends skipping town for sunny Austin, TX. For those of us who didn’t get on a plane last week, there are still some great events right here in the city (and at a much lower cost!)

Alumni filmmaker Keith Miller’s first feature film has been accepted, and will make its world premiere at the 2012 Slamdance Film Festival! Before they can head to Utah they need to make a few finishing touches, so they’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign and they need your help!

We are pleased to announce that the debut feature by Rooftop alumni Terence Nance has been selected to make its world premiere at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival! But he needs your help to make it there.

Soul Food Junkies, the new documentary from award-winning director and Rooftop Films alum Byron Hurt, addresses the consequences of the beloved comfort food cuisine known as soul food – both good and bad. Kickstart this important project.

Farmlandia: Growing a Documentary has been almost a decade in the making and now filmmaker Jan Weber needs your help to make it a reality. Pledge now and kick start this important project which explores the changing agricultural industry of America and asks where our food really comes from.
