Fandor CEO Ted Hope discusses 2 recently announced initiatives including FIX, a program designed to bring filmmakers and viewers closer together enabling filmmakers to showcase their remarkable work & facilitating interaction between artists and their audience. The other initiative is the Festival Alliance, whereby Fandor will offer solutions to many of the technology challenges shared by film festivals on both a short and long term basis. Hope will be checking in with the podcast on a semi-regular basis.

Next up, indieWire’s Chief Film Critic, Senior Editor and Manager of Criticwire, Eric Kohn. In addition to all his journalistic contributions to indieWire, Kohn is also now the co-host along with journalist Anne Thompson, of the film industry podcast Screen Talk. Also available for subscription on iTunes. indieWire and Rooftop Films will be celebrating a shared 18th birthday on Saturday, August 2nd, with a screening of A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night.

Lastly, Amy Browne & Jeremy Kaplan, 2 of the 4 co-directors of the new documentary, A Will for the Woods also stop by. Their new documentary about Determined that his last act will be a gift to the planet, Clark Wang prepares for his own green burial. The film will have its theatrical premiere in NYC at the Village East Cinema on Friday, August 15th. The other two co-directors, Brian Wilson and Tony Hale, will hopefully appear on the podcast at a later date.
