On Monday March 24th, our friends at IFC Films are hosting a special preview screening of festival favorite Finding Vivian Mayer. Rooftop Films fans are invited to see the film before it’s released in theaters later this month!

This critically acclaimed documentary explores the life of nanny and undiscovered street photographer Vivian, whose hundreds of thosands of beautiful photographs remained a secret throughout her lifetime. After the discovery of her secret cache of photographs, she came to be regarded as one of the 20th century’s greatest photographers.

In this fascinating film, Maier’s strange and riveting life and art are revealed through never before seen photographs, films, and interviews with dozens who thought they knew her. To learn more about the film, watch the trailer.
