Some call it punk rock, some call it grass roots, but labels aside: New York City-based Animation Block Party is the premier animation festival of the East Coast. Every year, we team up with Animation Block for one night of the festival to showcase the best new animation from around the world. This Monday March 17th, the Town Hall NYC’s Best Fest Film Series highlights the best of our long-time collaboration.

Whether you’re an animation devotee or a casual fan, this evening of films from some of our favorite filmmakers and animators is sure to have something for everyone. A panel discussion with Animation Block founder, Casey Safron, Rooftop Films Program Director, Dan Nuxoll plus award winning filmmakers Julia Pott (Belly) and Leah Shore (Old Man) will follow the screening.

So while you’re waiting for Rooftop Films return in May, scratch your film festival itch at The Very Best of Animation Block Party and Rooftop Films. Town Hall is offering passes to the entire Best Fest Film Series, which will continue to showcase highlights of festivals around the world in the coming weeks.

For the full lineup of films, visit our event page. To buy tickets, visit the Town Hall website.
