Film reviewer Kent Turner recounts his recent trip to the Toronto International Film Festival where he saw some 36 films. Kent’s writing may be found on his website, Film-Forward.

Next up is the Irish filmmaker, Seán Ó Cualáín, whose new documentary, Men at Lunch, tracks the history and subjects of the iconic 1932 photograph of workmen taking their lunch perched on a girder high above New York City on the 69th floor of Rockefeller Center.

Lastly is the team behind the new indie film, Detonator, filmmakers Damon Maulucci & Keir Politz, and the actor Ben Fine. The film will be screening later this week at Hell’s Half Mile Film & Music Festival in Bay City, Michigan. The interview took place at the Brooklyn Film Festival where the film had its premiere.

Filmwax Radio is presented by Rooftop Films and AT&T.
