Legend Brian De Palma (Scarface, The Untouchables) is the first guest on this episode of Filmwax Radio. His latest film, Passion, an erotic thriller, opens theatrically on Friday, August 30th. The film stars Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams.

Also on this episode is Mary Engel, the daughter of the late Morris Engel who directed America’s first independent film, Little Fugitive. The classic film will enjoy a free 60th anniversary screening with Rooftop Films on Tuesday, August 27th in Coney Island where most of the movie takes place. This segment includes a call from the grown star of the film, former child actor Rich Andrusco. The film was co-directed by Ray Ashley and Ruth Orkin, Mary’s Mom.

The show concludes with filmmaker Jonathan Gordon Levitt in its third segment. Jonathan’s new documentary, Follow The Leader, is about to have a theatrical engagement in Washington, DC beginning September 6th at the Angelika Film Center & Cafe at Mosaic.
