Ushio Shinohara is an artist and painter most famous for his boxing paintings. He and his wife, Noriko, are the subjects of Zachary Heinzerling’s new documentary Cutie and the Boxer, screening this Saturday August 3rd, at Rooftop’s Old American Can Factory.

The film focuses on the relationship between the two partners, and the sacrifices they make for love, and for art. To all the art lovers out there, this is a film you need to see!

After the screening, the couple will participate in a brief Q&A, and Ushio will take the stage to create a live boxing painting masterpiece!
