The first segment of this episode of Filmwax Radio is my chat with The Kings of Summer filmmaker Jordan Vogt-Roberts. The film, Jordan’s first feature, recently screened at Rooftop Films and will have its theatrical premiere this Friday, May 31st in select cities. The Kings of Summer stars Nick Offerman, Nick Robinson, Gabriel Basso and Moises Arias.

The second segment’s guest is BAMcinématek programmer Florence Almozini who discusses the upcoming season of BAMcinemaFest (June 19th—28th). Tickets are currently on sale for  members and will become available to the public shortly.

Rooftop Films will be screening The Dirties this Saturday evening at the Open Road Rooftop in the Lower East Side. The director of that film, Matt Johnson, who also wrote, edited and stars in the film, is my final guest on this episode.

The music throughout this episode of Filmwax Radio is by Bird Courage. End track is Hani Zahra’s One More Taste of Love from their album Along Those Lines.

Filmwax Radio is presented by Rooftop Films and AT&T.
