“American Juggalo” was originally presented by Rooftop Films as a part of On Your Own program, which focused on the topic of people living outside social norms. Screened at Dekalb Market on May 17th during Rooftop Films Summer Series 2012, this documentary film is one of the most memorable shorts you will ever see. The movie maker Sean Dunne offers a glimpse into the culture of Insane Clown Posse fans at their annual gathering in Illinois. The amount of drugs and nudity at the festival is shocking, but Juggalos and Juggalettes identify themselves as “all-accepting family.” It is incredible Dunne was able to record it. Some of the quotes are truly priceless: “We have alcohol and we’ve got explosives, let me show you how great we are.” Entertaining and surprising, this documentary stays with you long after you watch it.
