Rooftop friend and alumni Zachary Raines had a great run last year. His feature film, Freeloader, premiered at the opening weekend of our 2011 Summer Series. Zachary and his Brooklyn based team hope to return soon with another black comedy-of-errors, Accidents. They are working with a super-low budget, and they need your help to make it happen!

Billed as “…a comedy about bitterness, abandonment, and the great healing power of stupid ideas,” Accidents wlll tell the story of James, a 17 year old living upstate with his mother and her new boyfriend, Nick. Attempting to grow closer to James, Nick concocts an ill-advised plan to reunite him with the father he’s never known. Unbeknownst to the boy’s father, Peter, the two travel to Brooklyn for an ill-fated meeting. The movie intercuts the experiences of James, Kate, and Nick & Peter on this very strange night, following twisting paths that ultimately lead to a highly unusual family reunion, capped by a bizarre early-morning pancake breakfast.

Zachary and his team have launched a Kickstarter to help fund the film. They’re looking to raise at least 8,000 by August 25th, leaving less than a month to reach their goal! Help them get the ball rolling on this soon-to-be fantastic project (and get yourself a producing credit!) Make Accidents happen!
