Back in 2008, the Rooftop Filmmakers’ Fund gave early support to Heidi Brandenburg and Matthew Orzel’s then-untitled Peruvian rain forest documentary. For years now, they have been tirelessly developing what will certainly be an astonishing documentary, melding environmentalism and politics with stunningly beautiful cinematography and an intimate and intense perspective. Watch the gripping trailer, and if you care about these issues, support the film today.

When Two Worlds Collide has picked up funding from the Sundance Institute and Cinereach, but with these two smart and dedicated European filmmakers toiling away in the Amazon, they’ve yet to pick up much attention in the larger documentary crowd or the audience. Now is the time to get behind this film, as with your donation it will sure to be seen widely when they finish, and you can say you helped get this important film into the world.
