Bradley Beesley’s rousing, hardscrabble doc Sweethearts of the Prison Rodeo is embarking on a Western Swing Tour. Similar to Rooftop’s Gasland tour, is this maneuver a fun but necessary requirement for an independent film to thrive?

Beginning August 27^th, Rooftop Films, The Fledgling Fund, and International WOW Company are taking Josh Fox’s powerful new documentary Gasland on tour to potentially affected regions. The tour is part of Rooftop’s ongoing expansion into new cities.

When Brent Kelly was a sophomore in college, he got dumped. So he wrote a song “so overwhelmingly superlative, so suffuse with the ecstasy of raw human torment, he never wrote another.” Help Joe Callander make a movie about it.
