A person gets drunk, and tells a historical story. Actors recreate the drunk history, verbatim. This seemingly simple gag has a surprising amount of nuance, intelligence, and subtle but stupefying humor. We’ve got a few of these playing throughout the summer in unexpected places. Tesla and Edison played at our Opening Night, on May 14, 2010, in “This Is What We Mean By Short Films.” (I.e., what we mean is a simple but brilliant idea.)
