A young French woman hires a man to document her self-imposed political asylum in Argentina after supposedly leaking highly confidential government information.
Jacqueline (Argentine) (Bernardo Britto | USA | 87 min.)
A young attractive French woman enlists a filmmaker to document her self-imposed political asylum in Argentina. She has supposedly leaked highly confidential government secrets detailing a planned assassination to the media and is awaiting the eventual fall out. As soon as the filmmaker and his two interns arrive at the remote holistic center where she is hiding though, he begins to wonder if there’s any truth to her story at all. Nothing she says makes total sense and he can’t help feeling like he was duped into traveling to the middle of nowhere just to document a goofy girl rambling on and on about a government conspiracy that no one seems to care about. But still he continues on—filming all the strange occurrences around him, desperately hoping he’ll somehow end up with a worthwhile film.
