Ninja Thyberg was born in 1984 in Gothenburg, Sweden, and received her education in film studies, sociology, and philosophy at the University of Gothenburg and in gender studies at the University of Lund. She studied filmmaking from 2008 to 2010 at Fridhems Folkhögskola and scriptwriting for film and television at Broby Grafiska YH. Currently Thyberg is studying film directing at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts and will graduate in 2015.
