Mr. Lamb (Jean Pesce | USA | 15 min.)
Mr. Lamb is a dark comedy about a lonely waitress who is in love with her pen pal -- the convicted murderer, Charles Lamb.
Jean Pesce is a MFA Candidate at NYU - Tisch School of the Arts in the Film Division. Born and raised in San Francisco, Jean studied film and history at Bard College. After interning on Todd Solondz's "Palindromes," she went on to work in New York City as a Location Scout and Manager on nearly thirty features and television shows before returning to school.
Jean was a producer on five pre-thesis films at NYU, and recently completed directing a short film called Mr. Lamb, which was the Winner of the Audience Choice Award at the 2013 Williamsburg Independent Film Festival. It has also played at festivals all over the country, including the 2013 Woodstock Film Festival, Dallas International Film Festival, and the San Francisco Independent Film Festival.
She has also directed some music videos, most recently "Ghost" for the Austin, Texas band Softhealer.
Jean was the recipient of the prestigious MFA Summer Internship Fund granted by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts of Sciences. Over the summer, she interned in Development at Electric City Entertainment in Los Angeles.
Currently, Jean is editing a feature-length web series called Unchartered and writing a feature script about a series of murders near San Francisco.
She also plays music with the band The Jean Geraldines and is a huge San Francisco Giants fan.
