Trailer

“Brooklyn Farmer” explores the unique challenges facing Brooklyn Grange, a group of urban farmers who endeavor to run a commercially viable farm within the landscape of New York City. As their growing operation expands to a second roof, the team confronts the realities inherent in operating the world’s largest rooftop farm in one of the world’s biggest cities.

CONTACT

Michael Tyburski was raised in the woods of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, where the harsh winter conditions helped him develop a discipline for filmmaking. He studied the Moving Image Arts in New Mexico and Italy, and now lives in Brooklyn, New York, making commercials, documentaries, and short films. He has directed commercial work for GE, Microsoft, Verizon, Chase, Macy's, Burger King and The Four Seasons. His award-winning work has been screened at film festivals around the world. Most notably, he was the cinematographer for the SXSW Grand Jury Winner William and the Windmill, and his short film Palimpsest won a Special Jury Award at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. In 2013 Filmmaker Magazine named him one of the “25 New Faces of Independent Film”.
