New York's hottest afrobeat crew EMEFE was formed in 2009 by drummer Miles Arntzen. The band plays an original mix of afrobeat as created by the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti with the funk of Sly Stone and heavy neo-soul influence as well. At this special performance, the EMEFE Horn Section plays with only the accompaniment of the drumset, in a rare quintet setting.
