The Secret of Kells (Tomm Moore and Nora Twomey | Ireland | 75 min.)
A surprise Oscar nominee for Best Animated Film, The Secret of Kells follows the adventures of 12-year old Brendan on a dangerous mission to help complete a magical illuminated manuscript. Almost entirely hand-drawn, this dazzling film, made in the iconic style of medieval art, is a gorgeous antidote to the familiar style of today's digital animation.
