Dear Friends, Fans, Filmmakers—

Rooftop Photos by Irwin Seow

Rooftop Films is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We rely on our donors, ticket sales, government and foundation support to bring the magic of Rooftop Films to neighborhoods across New York. Our mission is to use film as the conduit for bringing people together, starting a dialogue and breaking down barriers. For close to 20 years Rooftop Films has been an important part of the very fabric of what makes New York City one of the greatest cities for the public arts. Help Rooftop continue to grow and thrive - a gift to Rooftop Films is a gift to yourself and the New York arts scene.

Remember what made you fall in love with New York City? The energy, the feeling of wonderment and that anything can happen? The "only in NY" spontaneous opportunities to enjoy high-quality cutting-edge independent film, music and arts, while meeting and interacting with like-minded people?

You are in the right place. As affordable venues for independent film and public art disappear due to economic realities, the mission of Rooftop Films to provide public outdoor screenings in multiple locations throughout NYC, support youth education, and fund emerging artists, becomes more important each year. We have grown from an audience of 12,000 in 2008 to reaching over 40,000 in 2014. With your support we can continue to grow and reach even more New York communities.

Help keep Rooftop Films strong! Please make a 100% tax-deductible donation today and support Rooftop Films, filmmakers and a thriving New York arts scene. For those of you who would like to become actively involved in supporting our organization and helping us plan for the future, we encourage you to consider becoming a Friend of Rooftop Films.
